I am very intrigued by Saint Augustine, for he is by far the first saint I have heard, who, before he converted to Catholicism, led a promiscuous life and it seemed for him that he would never change his ways. But then, he found God, and he realised that whatever he thought was love with another person, was actually love for himself and for his own pleasure only. When he found love with God, he wrote an amazing book, his confessions, and although I am reading snippets of his life and have not understood on the whole about him as yet, but I am determined to understand and reflect on his teachings, for I feel that he is the role model for those who are still lost, and have yet to find the way back to God.
